Social equity applicants can apply for a Retailer or Internet Retailer medical cannabis license between Mar 1 - Apr 30.

Medical Cannabis Sales Tax Holiday

Sales tax on medical cannabis goods, except paraphernalia, is waived between April 15-28, 2024. Find a licensed Retailer.

Face mask, vaccination verification modifications announced

On Monday, February 14, 2022, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that the verification of patrons having at least one (1) vaccination against COVID-19 by alcohol establishments will become optional effective at 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16.

Additionally, patrons will no longer be required to wear face masks to enter an alcohol licensed establishment effective at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1.
