Patients—Non-DC Residents

Overview

Non-DC residents may purchase medical cannabis from any licensed Retailer in DC by registering for a temporary patient registration or using their valid patient registration from a U.S. state or territory that has been extended reciprocity.

All temporary patient registrations are digital and may be used immediately upon receipt.

Eligibility

Domestic and international visitors that are at least 21 years of age are eligible.

Reciprocity is extended to patients with a valid patient registration issued by a U.S. state or territory’s program. View eligible jurisdictions.

Registration, including payment processing and registration issuance, can be completed within 10 minutes.

For reciprocity, non-DC residents must register through the medical cannabis program where they claim residency.
