A moratorium on the issuance of certain retailer’s alcoholic beverage licenses is currently in effect in the Glover Park neighborhood. The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (Board) issued a Notice of Emergency and Proposed Rulemaking regarding the Glover Park Moratorium Zone on April 20, 2016. The rulemaking is effective immediately and subject to a 30-day public comment period. Members of the public can submit written comment to the Board until 4 pm on Friday, May 20, 2016. Written statements must include the full name, title, organization, if applicable, and signature(s) of the person(s) submitting comment. Submit comment by:

The moratorium extends approximately 1,200 feet in all directions from 2436 Wisconsin Avenue, NW. Current restrictions within the Glover Park Moratorium Zone, include:
- No new retailer's license class C or D may be issued to a nightclub, tavern or multipurpose facility.
All hotels are exempt from the terms of the moratorium.
