ABC License Fees and Renewal Schedule

ABC license fees vary depending on the type of establishment.

Licenses are issued for three-year periods with all establishments of the same type expiring on the same date. License fees may be submitted at the time of renewal for the entire licensing period or annually. Late payments are subject to a late fee of $50 per day. License fees may be paid by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), check, certified check, money order or cashier's check. Checks must be made payable to the DC Treasurer.

Approximately 1,500 alcoholic beverage licenses are due for renewal in 2016. Licensees can learn more here.
