Frequently Asked Questions

When will the Board's decision on a protest matter be available to the parties of record?

After the conclusion of a protest proceeding, the parties have an opportunity to submit proposed findings within 20 days after the transcripts are available for review. After the 20-day period has lapsed, the official record closes. At that time, the ABC Board will deliberate and decide the matter. The General Counsel prepares a written order entitled "Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Order" for the ABC Board's signature. The ABC Board must sign the order within 120 days of the closed records. The ABC Board's written decision is made available to the parties of record and to the public in general.
