The chart below lists the number of ABC licensees broken down by license type and class (current as of December 18, 2008).
ABC license "class" indicates the type of alcoholic beverages an establishment is permitted to sell and/or serve. Class A refers to liquor stores (permitted to sell beer, wine, and liquor); Class B indicates grocery stores (may sell beer and wine); Class C indicates that establishments such as restaurants and taverns may serve beer, wine, and liquor; Class D refers to establishments that may sell beer and wine.
